The applicant will work out of the Blanc & Bailey Construction Inc. location in Bondville, Vermont and must be willing to travel to job sites throughout the surrounding areas.

Hours: Full Time – Monday through Friday

Qualifications: Driver’s License (Required)

Duties:

  • Installing foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.

  • Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim.

  • Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, framework, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.

  • Completes dry wall installation, to include hanging, mudding, and finishing.

  • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.

  • Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.

  • Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace.

  • Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned.

  • Cleans up worksite debris.

  • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Proper tracking of project time utilizing construction software.

  • Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers.

  • Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety.

  • All responsibilities will be carried out in a positive and professional manner.

BBCI requires all Carpenter and Subcontractor staff to be available for a 40-hour work week. Must have valid driver’s license and carpenter hand tools.

Carpenter and Subcontract compensation based on experience and performance.
